UN Participation for Youth & Everyone!
About Course
Course Description
This course introduces learners to the opportunities, systems, and pathways through which individuals—especially youth and professionals—can engage with global development processes led by the United Nations. Many people hear about international conferences, global sustainability discussions, fellowships, and UN programs but do not clearly understand how ordinary individuals can actually participate or benefit from them.
The course demystifies the UN system and explains how students, entrepreneurs, professionals, activists, and community leaders can connect their work to global platforms such as international conferences, UN agencies, development programs, and global partnerships.
Participants will learn how to identify relevant UN agencies aligned with their interests, access opportunities such as fellowships, volunteer programs, and conferences, and strategically position themselves or their organizations to contribute to global development agendas such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Beyond participation, the course also emphasizes how to translate global exposure into real impact locally—through projects, partnerships, innovation, advocacy, and policy engagement.
This course is designed for youth, professionals, entrepreneurs, civil society actors, and anyone interested in global development, sustainability, diplomacy, and international collaboration.
